As a child Genevive fell in love with the fashion of the inner-city. The grittiness and creativity is what sparked her interest in fashion and creating unique looks.
McLaughlin has styled actresses Mykal-Michelle Harris, Crystal Lee Brown and Tiffany Black.
She has also worked alongside OG costume designer and celebrity stylist Shawn Barton, (Love Jones, Friday, CeeLo) as well as costume design for short film, Transgress and assistant costume design for the Google web-series, GodComplX.
